Dilan is our talented interior designer who recently relocated to London to join us in the Urbanist Architecture office. Before making the big move to London, Dilan studied at the prestigious Beykent University in Istanbul, receiving her bachelor's degree in interior architecture and achieving an impressive 3.45 GPA.

While completing her studies, Dilan also interned at two leading Turkish architecture firms, where her professional journey in design began. However, it could be argued Dilan has been a designer for far longer than just a couple of years. Growing up, Dilan was forever drawing and knew from a young age it was something she wanted to work into her future in some way or another. While she considered pursuing fine art, she eventually landed on interior architecture.

Now she’s in London, Dilan says she is living her dream.

Day-to-day, you’ll find Dilan working across a range of residential projects producing drawings to help clients envision themselves in our designs. Dilan also leads some of our extension and HMO projects, where perfecting interior layout and design is crucial to delivering a successful outcome. In terms of her favourite parts of the gig, Dilan says sitting down to design and then seeing her ideas come to life as CGIs is hugely gratifying. This reward, she says, is matched only by the joy of seeing a client thrilled with the end result of the work she’s helped produce.

While Dilan’s gift for residential interior architecture is easily witnessed in the quality of her work, it turns out it’s not all she’s good at. Dilan is also a skilled musician and when she’s not in the office, it’s a pretty safe bet she’ll be in her home studio writing and producing music. This is much to the delight of her colleagues, who tap their feet along all day to the playlists she expertly curates for the office.
