Hailing from sunny Brisbane, Australia, Sarah is our talented town planner whose passion lies in shaping cities into places where people and communities can truly flourish.

Having gained her Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning at the University of Queensland, Sarah honed her skills as a senior town planner with the City of Brisbane, before moving to London to complete her Master's degree in City Design and Social Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

From early on, Sarah was drawn to the way urban spaces influence daily life - from access to economic opportunities through to community wellbeing. This conviction inspired her career in urban planning with a dedication to ensure that design and policy come together to create sustainable, inclusive, and vibrant cities.

At Urbanist Architecture, you’ll find Sarah working across a wide range of projects - including multiple Green Belt, Grey Belt and other complex schemes - collaborating with multiple stakeholders to transform ideas into tangible outcomes.

Her favourite part of the role is seeing long-term planning strategies take root - knowing that the decisions made today will bring benefits to communities for decades to come.

With her global perspective, established expertise, and genuine passion for place-making, Sarah is an invaluable part of the Urbanist Architecture team.

“ We appointed UA to propose a modern redesign of our home to maximise its potential and achieve planning permission within a conservation area. The team produced a really creative design that was beyond our expectations. We were absolutely delighted with the proposal, which will transform our home into a better quality light-filled space. UA was a pleasure to work with, highly professional and responsive. The documentation and drawings produced for the planning application were of exceptional quality. ”

The success of any project depends on how well it responds to the real needs and experiences of the people who use it, from the way they move through a space to how it supports their daily lives. Good planning and design are key to achieving these outcomes.
