With a strong sense of creativity, excellent space planning skills and knowledge of building regulations, Yuki is well-versed in contemporary residential architecture at scales ranging from medium-sized housing developments down to carefully thought-out extensions and meticulously detailed refurbishments.
Yuki is passionate about exploring the potential of existing spaces and transforming them into areas where their potential is maximised, enhanced, and purposefully tailored for sustainable and appealing future use. Her extensive skills underpin her meticulous approach to various elements of the architectural design process.
Yuki began her path to her current role with a degree in policy studies in urban planning in Japan and moved on to architectural design degrees at the Architectural Association in London. Her passion for the conceptual evolution of architecture and human-scaled spatial experiences drew her to study in the UK. Her graduation work, nominated for diploma honours, delved into innovative ways of living by utilising the city's vacant walls.
Before her role at Urbanist Architecture, she gained experience in residential architecture in both London and Hertfordshire. Yuki oversees projects from developed design and planning stages to technical design and building regulations. Her meticulous eye for detail and creative approach to complex challenges ensures results that benefit both clients and the broader community.
