Sky’s path to Urbanist Architecture has taken her through working at a national newspaper and teaching at one of our great educational establishments for the visual arts. This has given her a unique perspective and contributes to the fresh yet thorough approach she brings to every project that she works on.

After graduating from Central Saint Martins with a First in architecture, Sky then received an academic scholarship to study at the prestigious Architectural Association for her MArch. Meanwhile, she worked on a major London regeneration project at CGL Architects, giving her insight into community consultation, place-making and social housing. Then she went on to join the editorial team at the Independent newspaper before returning to Central Saint Martins as a tutor.

As one of Urbanist Architecture’s key design experts, Sky takes projects from feasibility stages through to planning permission and technical design. She meticulously designs each project to bring architecture and interiors to life which allows her to create distinctive homes that people desire, value and are proud to own.

She has a true passion for working on heritage buildings. She combines enthusiasm and rigour when researching their history to find new ways that they can be sympathetically updated, so that the best of today's design can be implemented without damaging what we value from the past.

Sky is also well versed in delivering uniquely designed interior spaces, and her ability to make the ordinary extraordinary brings a fresh, innovative approach to her designs. She has an interest in psychology, sensory experience and the architecture of health, all of which informs her design work.

“ We used Urbanist Architecture for an extension renovation project and couldn't be happier. What stood out for us with Urbanist Architecture is how much they listened to what we wanted and then synthesised that into something beyond our imaginations. Even when the council asked us to make a change, they were able to produce an equally good result. ”

Chris G — London

“ Sky is amazing - the team listen and deliver beyond expectations. ”

Sonam H. — London

“ The team at Urbanist took time to understand our requirements and liaised very closely with in-depth analysis of the site and its potential. They came up with imaginative designs to fully utilise the site and used their excellent understanding of the local planning criteria to achieve a brilliant result. It's truly refreshing to work with a firm that is at the very top of their game! ”

A great architect is someone who recognises that they have a responsibility for the influence they have on the built environment and the daily life of the end-user.
